Financial Services Representative (FSR)

ABNB Federal Credit Union is seeking a Full Time Financial Services Representative (FSR) for our Lakeside Branch located at 907 W Washington St, Suffolk, VA.

Responsibilities include processing deposit accounts and related services in a financial institution, interviewing members and processing loan applications and disbursements. The successful candidate will be responsible for following all policies and procedures and servicing the members in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. This individual needs to be sales-oriented and results-oriented, and project a positive attitude with the team.

Major Responsibilities:
The Financial Service Representative (FSR) will assist with all credit union transactions in order to service the member including loan processing and approval, building public relations, executing marketing programs, and utilizing cross-selling standards in order to become the member's primary financial institution. Open and close accounts, answers questions about products, services and maintains member account information on computer system.

Position requirements:
The successful candidate will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and six months to two years of similar or related experience. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Outstanding interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with employees and members both in person and by phone. Bilingual Languages a Plus.

Part Time Peak Time Teller

ABNB Federal Credit Union is seeking a Park Time Peak Time Teller at our South Independence location located at 3550 Buckner Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA.

Responsibilities include assisting members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. Part Time Peak Time Tellers will have a specific set schedule and work part time peak time hours, including every Saturday.

Major Responsibilities:
Receive and process as directed member financial transactions to include: deposits; withdrawals; loan payments; money orders; traveler's checks and transfers. This individual will provide prompt, friendly, personal and professional service to all members and co-workers.

The successful candidate will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and six months to two years of similar or related experience. Mortgage Loan Officer

ABNB Federal Credit Union is seeking two Full Time Mortgage Loan Officers at our Corporate Center located at 830 Greenbrier Circle, Chesapeake, VA.

Role:

Originates quality mortgage loans by selling ABNB FCU loan products and services to meet the needs of its membership and participate in related business development activities.

Major Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain client relationships with realtors, builders, developers, and other professionals working in a complimenting business and who are in a position to refer loan applications to credit union. Suggested activities may include sales calls, educational classes for new realtors, and offering pre application services. The Loan Officer should work closely with the supervisor and District Managers to develop member and business partner relationships designed to effectively develop new business opportunities.

Responsible for overall member interaction with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from application to closing. Duties to include, but not limited to taking complete and accurate applications, obtaining all necessary support documents, overseeing the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with terms, assisting in collecting additional documents, promptly communicating loan status to all interested parties and obtaining loan documentation after closings, as directed by management

Quote terms, conditions, and explain various lending options with borrowers and realtors. Preparing borrowers for loan application by informing them of the documents they will need to bring to application

Read and understand all loan program he/she intends to sell. Responsibility to advise their manager of questions they have or possible training needs they may have regarding our programs or the business in general, to ensure members are given the best possible service

Attend educational seminars offered by complimenting businesses and agencies in our community

Keep informed of the changing rules and regulations pertaining to the mortgage industry

Handle any problem on the loan files that are not considered routine. The Loan Officer will be apprised of any problems on their files involving an upset member, a rejected or suspended file, an unusual underwriting condition or a matter which the processor is uncomfortable handling or is determined to be critical to the continued success of the process.

Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with credit union policies and procedures. Maintain a professional , courteous, respectful manner and provide quality service to internal and external customers, vendors, and members

Position requirements:
Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: A two year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Other Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient in PC skills, having the ability to learn and use the credit union´s equipment and software programs. Ability to become familiar with the credit union´s policies and procedures Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must possess mathematical skills such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measuring whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
