ABNB Unites Military Families
Through Special Webcast
March 1, 2007 – ABNB Federal Credit Union’s Operations Center in Chesapeake, Virginia became the site of a makeshift television studio on February 23, when Hampton Roads’ military families were allowed the opportunity to broadcast 10-minute video greetings to loved ones stationed overseas during a worldwide webcast.
It was all part of a nationwide program called Operation Best Wishes, offered free to families by America's credit unions, through WesCorp Federal Credit Union and the Defense Credit Union Council.
“It was a real honor to provide such a meaningful experience to our service personnel and their families,” said ABNB President Carl Ratcliff. “Seeing a baby’s first steps, attending youth sports events or school awards assemblies are just some of the special moments our military men and women forgo. Modern technology has allowed us to share these images on the other side of the world, and we’re thrilled to have been part of it.”
