2018 Jack E O'Connor Scholarship Winners

The Jack E. O'Connor Memorial Scholarship is offered by the Tidewater Chapter of Credit Unions to qualified graduating seniors who plan to attend a college or university.

ABNB is proud to recognize Connor Bishop and Jeanelle Estanislao as the 2018 recipients of the Jack E. O'Connor Memorial Scholarship!


Connor attends the Global and World Studies Academy at Tallwood High School in Virginia Beach. At Tallwood, Connor is a member of the National Honor Science, National Science Honor Society, Global Studies Honor Society, Latin Honor Society, Model United nations member, Student Council Assoc., executive Board member, a member of the Forensics team (competitive public speaking), coached little league baseball, and Rec basketball, a mentor at Tallwood Elementary’s B.E.A.R. (Be Excited About Reading) program. Connor will be attending the College of William & Mary to major in International Relations with a double major in psychology.


Jeanelle attends Salem High School in Virginia Beach and The Governor’s School for the Arts. Jeanelle is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, active in her church as an usher, youth leader & volunteer at vacation bible school. She has been involved in the prom committee, numerous art and fashion shows at the Governor’s school for the arts, intern at Origin at MacArthur Center, Stockley Garden art show, Neptune festival, Oceanview art show to name just a few. Jeanelle will be attending VCU for Graphic Design and Business.

Jeanelle will also be hosting her Governor's School for the Arts senior art show, starting Friday May 18, 2018 from 6PM - 8PM at the Origin Gallery on the 2nd floor of MacArthur Mall, running until June 2, 2018.
