Phishing Attempts

We have received several calls from members and non-members reporting false and repeated telephone calls, emails, and text messages. These messages claim to be from ABNB and state that your account has been frozen, cancelled or compromised.

The email messages have a link to a web page designed to mimic our [email protected] sign in page.  Whenever accessing your ABNB @ Home account remember to check the verification phrase for accuracy to ensure you are logging into actual ABNB web services. The text messages provide a phone number to call that is directed to an automated attendant that prompts you to enter your 16-digit card number, expiration date, and 4-digit pin code. To avoid falling for a fraudulent scheme that is designed to steal your private financial information or any scam that involves calling a supposed bank number: Never call an unexpected number provided in a phone call, e-mail, or text message. Only call the number on the back of your card or on a bank statement.

Please be aware that we have had an additional phishing attempt targeted to members and non-members in the form of an email stating, that if the person completes a survey of just 5 questions from our marketing department that person would receive $50.00 deposited to his ABNB account. This is fraudulent activity and not an initiative directed from ABNB Federal Credit Union. Always report "phishing" or “spoofed” e-mails to: [email protected].
