New Targets of Identity Theft

It's widely known that we, as adults are at risk of identity theft everyday if we don't take the appropriate precautions to avoid it...but did you know your children are also at risk?

It's hard to believe, but it's true.  Many times child identity theft goes unnoticed for long periods of time, because usually credit inquiries for children are unnecessary.  Normally it's not until that child is grown up and applying for credit that the crime is discovered.
So if you have children, be sure to check out this helpful guide that the Federal Trade Commission put out about protecting, identifying, and reporting child identity theft.
