ABNB Federal Credit Union Partners with American Diabetes Association for Diabetes Awareness Month

Chesapeake, VA - ABNB Federal Credit Union is partnering with the American Diabetes Association this November to support Diabetes Awareness Month and help bring attention to the growing impact of diabetes in our communities.

More than 38 million Americans are living with diabetes, including nearly 250,000 within Hampton Roads and northeastern North Carolina. The financial toll is significant, with diabetes-related costs in the U.S. reaching $412.9 billion in 2022. Individuals with diabetes face medical expenses that are 2.6 times higher than those without the condition.

“At ABNB, we’re committed to supporting the health and well-being of our members, staff, and the communities we serve,” said Melissa Rose, Vice President of Marketing & Business Development. “Partnering with the American Diabetes Association allows us to help amplify awareness, education, and prevention efforts across Hampton Roads.”

Throughout November, ABNB will recognize the 85 years of progress the American Diabetes Association has made in research, advocacy, and support for those affected by diabetes. ABNB is committed to advancing awareness and meaningful change through staff education, advocacy efforts, and ongoing collaboration with the ADA to support and amplify their mission. The credit union encourages community members to get involved and learn more about how they can make a difference.
